May Wishlist 2013

Hello Everyone,

This month my wishes are all simple but beautiful products. I have been wearing lots of Summer dresses with simple eye makeup, bronzed peachy coral cheeks and bright lips, so these are all products that would fit in well with this look. Infact, with a little BB cream, together they would create a lovely look as a collection.

1. YSL, Volupte Sheer Candy in No4 (£23) – I have this lippy in no6 and always thought it would be my only one due to the price. Recently I have worn it so much that I am finding it hard to resist the urge of buying myself just one more. They are beautiful!

2. TheBalm, Hot Mama Eyeshadow/Blush (£12.50) – I recently discovered TheBalm products when I purchased a recommended product called Mary Lou Manizer, a stunning gold highlighter. I have since had a peek at their other bits and pieces and noticed this powder. It reminds me of a lighter Sleek Rose Gold/MAC Stereo Rose with its gold particles running through it.

3. The Balm, Time Balm Concealer(£19)  This product also jumped out at me as it had god reviews. I am always looking for new under eye concealers to try and this one intrigues me.

4. MAC, Paintpot in MoonCake (£14.50) – This beauty is part of the baking beauty collection. (that’s another post of its own). I have always wanted a paintpot but have never got round to choosing which one. As soon as I saw this I knew it would be the perfect colour for me. I love a neutral shimmer and this one also has a nice bronze tone to it. Perfect for the Summer!

5. Stila, Cream Blush in Poppy & Gladiola (£16) – These are stunning blushes so its no wonder they are trending all over the beauty world. I don’t own many cream blushes but do like them and these two colours always look so lovely on people, giving them a fresh and healthy look.

6. Avon, Supershock Max Mascara (£8), Since buying my Dior New Look Mascara last year , I have found a new love for a plastic wand. They seem to grip my eyelashes a lot more than my other ones. This mascara has a fantastic looking wand so I thought it would be fun to try it out.

Am I missing something on my wishlist? Any must haves I should know about? Let me know in the comments below and add a link to your wish list for the month.

April Non-Beauty Wishlist

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would share with you some of the things I have on my non-beauty wish list. They are very random but I shall explain each one.

  1. Orla Kiely – Basil & Mint candle £28 (ouch) I smelt this in a shop the other day and it was amazing. I thought it was a citrus scent until I read the box. I think I will have to save up for this one though. Buy it here.
  2. Casetagram Iphone cover £16 – I saw this in a vlog I was watching, investigated and found this fun site where you can select photos to create your own case. I have already created mine so just need to pop it into the basket. Buy it here.
  3. Ikea Jars for 4 This isn’t as simple as me wanting jars. I have decided to pretty up my retro kitchen with a thin shelf holding lots of these jars full of my baking sprinkles. Like this.
  4. Cath Kidston Mug £5 I have three of these so definitely need a fourth to complete the collection. I like this blue one with a pretty floral pattern on. Buy it here.
  5. Bicycle I do actually own an old dutch bicycle. I bought it with intention of doing it up like the picture above but have yet to get round to it. I really want to for the Summer so I can cycle around with my dog in my new town. 🙂
  6. Best Kept Secrets Candle Trio in Smoothie £8 These 30 hour burn time candles are so cute and come complete in presentation box. The yummy fragrances include: Strawberry, Mango & Papaya and Lime & Coconut. I have wanted them for a while now so it’s about time I got them. Buy them at Gifts & Pieces.
  7. Waffle Iron I haven’t decided on a specific one, but recently I have been enjoying the waffle a lot! I think it is time I got my own iron and made some myself. Yum!

Do you have any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

March Wishlist!

Hello Everyone,

Looking at my wish list this month I can tell I’m longing for some spring weather. The pastels and corals are back and I want them in my life!

Urban Decay- Naked Basic With lots of bright lipsticks to wear I need something for a more neutral eye and this looks perfect! I love my Naked 2 so this is a must for this month I think.

Revlon – Colorburst Lipstick in Raspberry This colour looks so pretty in photos I have seen. I can’t find it any stores though so I may need to buy it online.

Revlon- Lipgloss in Papaya Seen on Tanya Burrs latest vlog I now must have this georgeous peachy coral gloss for the Summer.

Barry M Gelly Polish I haven’t decided which colours I want yet but these, especially the beige, caught my eye!

Topshop Nail Polish in Sky High This looks so pretty and I do like the Topshop formula.

That’s it! Actually quite a small list for once, although I’m sure I shall find more products I ‘need’ as the month goes by.

WANTED – MAC Stereo Rose

Hello Everyone,

Just a little call out to see if anyone has seen a MAC mineralize skin finish in stereo rose in any shops anywhere. I love the idea of a blush that shimmers like this, and at the moment MAC stores ( even the website) don’t seem to have may any atall, even in their other colours like they have had on the past.

Hope you are all well, xxx

BOOTS Beauty HAUL – pay day treats

Hello Everyone,

After posting my wishlist this week, before pay day, I tried incredibly hard not to dart out to the shops and buy the products straight away. Fail? Yes! Come on, it was only a few days away so I don’t think my bank will know any different.

So yes, I did fly out to boots to buy some things, and yes I did manage to find and buy most of the items on my wish list (and more). Infact I may have even visited the MAC website that very same day and ordered the remaining items from my wishes, online!
So now I have lots of products to show you, more in the post, and do I feel guilty? Nope, not really! Sadly the only item I didn’t manage to buy ( purse relieved) was the Dior amber Diamond highlighter. Everywhere online has it on their site but not in stock. Is a the rumour that it is discontinued false? I hope not.

Moving on to happier things, the HAUL!

17 Va Va Voom Mascara- £6.29

I can’t remember the last time I bought a 17 product, but for some reason this mascara caught my eye, and in need of a cheaper daily black, I thought I would have a go. Now, I may have fallen into the trap of being seduced by a large wand. But as we all know girls, just because it has a large wand, doesn’t mean it can do the job properly 😉
I haven’t decided if I am impressed with this or not. At first I was put off because the bristles don’t actually comb through your lashes as they are all too close together so it just feels like you are rolling the wand against them. But after a couple of layers and a step back from the mirror, it had managed to create quite dramatic volume so I can’t really complain, so I won’t. A cheap and cheerful 6/10

Bourjois Healthy Mix, serum foundation £10.99

I have been using the sister to this product for a while so thought I would try out this version. In honesty they are quite similar, but I love the other healthy mix and am now a huge fan of this one too! The coverage is perfect for me; not too heavy but covers my current rubbish skin blemishes. The formula is very soft and moist which is perfect for a semi glow. Sometimes I find foundations are either too dry and cakey or too wet and shiny. This one sits beautifully inbetween. A small amount buffed in using my Real Techniques brush and my skin looks healthy, just like it says on the tin! I use the colour 52 which is light, but think that is because it is winter still here in the UK. A lovely 9/10

La Roche-Posay, Effaclar duo £13

This product is raved about across blogs and vlogs and with the skin I am experiencing this month I had to give it a go. My first ‘yay‘ moment was when I saw the price as I had expected such a talked about product to empty my purse. I have been using the product for only a couple of days so cannot vouch for its healing properties but I do like the medical scent and feel it gives my skin. Fingers crossed! I shall post a full review in a fee weeks.
A hopeful 8/10

Sanctuary Spa, 5 minute thermal detox mask £2.50

I love a face mask and enjoy trying out new ones. So when I spotted this charcoal based treat I had to pop it in the basket. I haven’t used it yet so can’t really review it, but if it turns out be a winner I will let you know!

Rimmel, Wake Me Up concealer £5.49

My first thought is that this is very similar to my collection 2000 concealer that I adore, but more expensive. I love the foundation that matches this and have been using it for a while so decided that buying this popular concealer to go with it would be a grand idea. I like it! Good coverage, no creases, brightening. What more could you want? Great stuff 9/10

Revlon, Just Bittwn Kissable balm stain in Honey Douce

Revlon has to be my favourite high street brand an after the success of the lip butter I don’t know how I didn’t already have on of these. The balm feels so lovely on the lips and gives a great colour, well pigmented, glides on and looks lovely. It doesn’t stay on all that long but a balm is not a lipstick and I do enjoy re- applying. I want more, 9/10

Well, I must say I am really pleased with the little shopping trip and the goodies I came home with. I wore all of these products last night and felt really good.

Can’t wait for my MAC products to arrive now! 🙂

1.Dior – Amber Diamond Highlighter
2.MAC – Well Dressed Blush
3.MAC – Coffee Eye Pencil
4.MAC – Concrete Eye Shadow
5.RImmel – Wake Me Up Concealer
6.La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
7.Bourjois- Healthy Mix l Foundation

Does anyone have any of these and love them? I have heard that the Dior highlighter is discontinued which is very sad as I have wanted it for a while now ( sad face)
